Let’s Celebrate Birthdays - And Spread Kindness While Doing It!

A birthday is a time for celebration, and one Tampa Bay nonprofit is making sure that all local kids can have a Happy Birthday! Sarina Fazan and the interns from SFM and Sky Strategic Marketing visited Celebrate Birthdays on Monday, November 23rd, 2020, to learn more about their program called “Birthday in a Box” and to spread kindness by donating to the cause!

Celebrate Birthdays was started when Founders Belinda Leto and Celina Saunders, who are two loving mothers and hard working nurses, were delivering Christmas gifts as part of an Angel Tree Project through their church. The two women witnessed one grandmother brought to tears when she realized the uncertainty and financial difficulty of celebrating her grandson’s birthday in January. This sparked Belinda and Celina into action! They not only purchased the grandson’s birthday gifts, but they also realized the need in the community for children who could not celebrate their birthdays.
