I really enjoyed the show, but would not recommend it for everyone

Firstly, thank you so much to everyone who has asked about my reviews.

Yes, I have not written one in a while because I wanted to complete the series “The Affair.”

It took me some time to do that because it’s five seasons and with other projects, I could watch only so many episodes at a time!

Little did I realize my timing was perfect. The show just ended in the beginning of November.

Okay, now that’s out of the way.

Let’s talk about the show featured on Showtime.

Wow! I got approached by so many people, mostly women, if I was watching “The Affair.”

Truly, that question is what got me interested in the series in the first place.

Many women told me it was disturbing and did not want their husbands to watch the show.

By sheer title alone, I am sure you can guess the strong feelings.

Yes, infidelity is a disturbing topic.

I did find myself intrigued with the series though because of the intricate criminal plots weaved throughout the seasons.

But, that being said, I almost stopped watching “The Affair” altogether after the first episode.

The show starts with the Solloways, a married couple with four children, going on their annual beach summer vacation.

There is a very disturbing scene involving one of the kids within the first half hour.

I got past it and got taken into the story lines.

I will say, throughout the episodes, some of the story lines do get a little carried away.

Some may not even make sense to you.

But, in general, I found myself looking forward to watching the next hour every night.

So, would I recommend it? I believe if you are not in a good relationship and are at sensitive time in your life, this is not the show for you. Yes, it’s fiction, but why add to any angst in your life? If you are in a good place and looking for a show to watch, I say absolutely. The love triangles, the journey of life through decades on top of the criminal aspect was intriguing enough for me.

I love hearing from my viewers. Please reach out. And, if there is a show or book you want me or one of my contributors to review, let me know!
