MAJOR MAKEOVER: The Blowbar in South Tampa gets a new look

Owner of Blow Bar Leslie Betts is a pioneer in the industry.

Haircuts, color and treatments have been around for ages. But, the concept of walking into a salon and getting your hair “blown out” for a night on the town, important presentation at work, or sitting on the anchor desk 🙂 is fairly new.

We can thank Leslie Betts for bringing this convenience to Tampa. She is a pioneer, opening up her shop on 301 South Dale Mabry nearly a decade ago.

I remember first walking into the beautiful salon thinking this is fantastic! I could not wait to bring my daughter who was just a baby at the time. Moms with daughters, I don’t know if your girls are into hair, but by the age of five Sammie wanted to get her hair done. And yes, you guessed it. The first place I took her was the “Blowbar.” Ever since, it’s a a huge treat for her and a bigger one for me; quality time with my favorite person.

Blowbar also can do your makeup, nails, brows, eyelashes and more! Everything you need for that special night out or “just because”!

Since, Leslie first opened her shop, others have followed. This year, she thought it was time for a change and give her a shop a new look but keep all the ideas she started.
