EP 80: Changing the World One Loaf at a Time

Veturia Preston, Founder and President of Our Daily Bread Tampa Bay, is on a mission to fight hunger, restore hope, and create lasting change in the Tampa Bay community and beyond - one loaf of bread at a time. From humble beginnings, her nonprofit organization has grown to become a key partner in the distribution of nearly 100,000 pounds of food per week in the Tampa Bay region, with many of its resources utilized in Tampa Bay’s first “cost-free” grocery store - one of only three similar stores in the United States! While Our Daily Bread Tampa Bay’s philanthropic endeavors have mainly focused on the local area, its mission is expanding across the nation and the globe, thanks to the support of businesses like Switzerland-based IDONEUS and U.S.-based Obsidian International Asset Trading. Veturia and her husband Jarrett Preston, who is the Chief Executive Officer of IDONEUS and Founder/Managing Partner of Obsidian, join host Sarina Fazan live in the Red House Streaming studios to go “On The Record” to share how they are working to help more families in need and to create a future free of hunger.
