EXCLUSIVE: A Behind The Scenes Tour of Tampa's Hottest New Hotel
Hotel Haya is the hottest new hotel in Tampa, Florida. “Great views of 7th avenue, unparalleled views,” says General Manager Pablo Molinari.
The hotel is a special and unique place. Every detail put into the building was meticulously crafted with the highest regard of retaining the historic and cultural value of Ybor City.
Molinari says, “The lobby is a true welcoming experience; It’s an open space with terrazzo flooring. I mean the terrazzo flooring has been going for centuries, that’s the way Italians and Spaniards they used to kind of lay down floor in open spaces, and we brought that tradition back to Ybor.“
Molinari adds that’s just one facet of this amazing space.
“The special meeting space that we have in the ball room has beautiful hardwood floors, natural lighting, original bricks from the late 1800’s.”
The carpet throughout the building is replicated from actual prints from Tampa architect Albert Alfonso, who also designed the hotel.
Hotel Haya was set to open over the late spring or summer. But, the Coronavirus pandemic delayed the opening. Hotel Haya will officially open it’s door on September 24, 2020.
“We are taking all measures that we are supposed to take to have our employees safe and our guests safe,” says Molinari.
This quote is no understatement. Our team was impressed by the staff ‘s Covid-19 procedures. Not only are they taking temperatures at the door, but they are also using contact tracing and following all CDC guidelines.
Molinari says they are all set to open. “We have 178 rooms we have a beautiful ten suites. You can have a morning coffee while the trolley passes behind you, or you can be standing right here on 7th Avenue enjoying the night parade.”
