KIDS SPREADING KINDNESS, HELPING TO FULFILL A MOTHER'S MISSION

Even during a difficult time for some, kids within the community are still spreading kindness by donating for an important cause that makes a difference.

Recently, a group of young kindhearted girls delivered “Beloved Bundles” in support of a nonprofit organization named Project Beloved: The Molly Jane Mission. Project Beloved’s mission is “to educate, advocate, and collaborate to change the conversation about sexual assault while empowering survivors to find their voices.”

In the bundles are T-shirts, sweatpants, undergarments and other supplies for survivors donated to the Crisis Center Of Tampa Bay.

Ken Gibson, the Senior Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, emphasizes the importance of donations like this one.

He explains that the survivors' belongings are taken for evidence and these “Beloved Bundles” offer a critical first step in allowing the healing process to begin with returning dignity and respect to sexual assault survivors.

“The mission of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay is to ensure that no one in our community has to face the crisis alone. The organization is the community’s gateway to help, hope, and healing,” Ken says.

Kids within the community making these “Beloved Bundles” is a show of the strength of community.

Ken says, “It's such an encouraging thing and I mean we’re living in very trying times and to see what this group has done for sexual assault survivors is such a critical thing.”
