Sarimee is committed to the community. The company is always focused on a charitable causes. The latest endeavor is to help The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.

The nonprofit is having it’s annual event “A Toast for a Cure” on Thursday, May 2, 2019 in St. Petersburg. A great event means great food!

Mickey’s Cafe & Organics in St. Petersburg is catering the fundraiser and has for several years. Mickey, the owner of the cafe, is dedicated to fighting against the disease that affects millions and has a personal reason behind his commitment. His wife was diagnosed with crohn’s several years ago. In fact, a large portion of his menu was created by his wife and is geared towards healthy living.

The menu is fantastic! The list includes homemade soup and even 20 different salads made daily. A personal favorite is a cookie that Mickey has mastered. I could not stop eating it! When you stop by Mickey’s Cafe & Organics, you must try the Mickey’s Cookie!

Mickey is not alone in helping out. He also asked his friend and wine supplier Dean Weinberger to assist. Dean was happy to do it and is donating the wine.

Mickey is also involved with many other charitable causes within the community. He even has a wall dedicated to display local artists’ works! It was such a pleasure to meet Mickey and Dean. It’s people like this that make the Bay area the greatest place to live!
