EP 76: Helping Veterans Heal
Less than 50 percent of military veterans who need mental health treatment will receive it. Since May is National Military Appreciation Month and also National Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re going “On The Record” to talk about the barriers to treatment that many veterans face, where they can find help, and what our community can do to change this statistic. Joining host Sarina Fazan for this special episode are Brig. Gen. Arthur F. “Chip” Diehl III (USAF Ret.) and Gwendolyn Green, LMHC, MCAP, the CEO of Tampa Crossroads, a nonprofit organization that works to remove barriers in accessing behavioral wellness, housing, and employment services in the community and help people in need, especially veterans.
